A rational project combines maximum efficiency in terms of energy savings and effective lighting to meet a deeply-rooted need for beauty and harmony: Bizzozero Park is the result of all this. A place where people can meet and enjoy community living in zones designed to foster socialisation and more: a children’s playground, a doggie play area, the “Garden of the Senses”, the cycling track, the running track. Plenty of ways to enjoy the city and its parks, plenty of ways to experience the outdoors, each with its specific lighting requirements and all with a common need to save as much energy as possible.
This urban park stretches over 40,000 square metres and is divided into different zones. Installations were made according to the type of interventions requested:
- n. 25- 20W Ledway Street luminaires (1 light bar with dual power system), on 3m poles with interdistance of 20 metres. The initial project called for 36W fluorescent lamps installed on 90cm poles (interdistance of 10ms).
- n. 28 – 40W Ledway Street luminaires (2 light bars) on 5m poles with interdistance of 25m. The initial project called for 70W metallic iodide fixtures.
- n. 3 – 40W Ledway Street luminaires (2 light bar with dual power system), on 6 poles to replace a 100W metallic iodide device.
- n. 1 – 60W Ledway Street luminaire on a 7m pole to replace a 100W MH lamp.
Energy savings from the reduction in power consumption amounts to 55%.
